The Trane CleanEffects electronic air cleaner removes up to 99.98% of airborne allergens from the filtered air it provides to your home. It is also effective at eliminating the H1N1 virus, or Swine Flu, from the air in your home. It is electronically controlled and tells you when it requires cleaning. There are two (2) items to clean, first the pre-filter-you can wash it in water, it is a permanent plastic screen filter, designed to trap any errant large particles. The second is the collection cells. These are cleaned with just a vacuum cleaner hose and then reinserted. Once the pre-filter is dry, reinsert it as well.
